Wait a Minute

I suppose nobody ever really likes to wait. We are, after all, in an age of immediate gratification. And yet we still find ourselves patiently waiting for a multitude of things. Sometimes eagerly.

We wait for tables at trendy restaurants. We wait for the phone to ring. For the one we love to love us back. We wait to give the perfect Christmas gift. We wait for our vacation to start.

But something that is almost universally true is that companies hate to wait for results from their advertising. They often wait for results the same way you and I wait for the car in front of us to move when the light turns green. The way we wait for a website to load. The way we wait for AAA to arrive when we have a flat.

Perhaps it’s true that it’s easier to wait when we know something good is coming. The “gooder” the better.

So instead of doubting your potential success, why not go into an advertising campaign expecting great results? Expecting an ROI that actually makes your financial guy smile? Maybe then, waiting for results from your campaign would be more palatable.

Pursue your marketing plan like you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop, you’ll be too conservative. So instead, go after it. Take a chance. Get noticed. Expect great things.

What are you waiting for?
